Abstract

The paper considers
resources and infrastructure of one
of the three administrative raions of Lviv
oblast, which have special geographic location,
resource potential and transboundary
possibilities. We have analyzed historicalcultural,
religious and natural resources of
Zhovkva Raion, as well as their use in recreational-
touristic activities. The distribution
of historical-cultural resources between
the settlements is explored. We have discovered
new museums, namely at schools,
and studied their functioning. We have also
characterized modern state of hotels and
restaurants, which are used for tourists and
recreants. We have studied some cases of
hotels and restaurants and fi gured out their
capacities and prices. We have developed a
two-day tour «Zhovkva Land as a droplet
of Ukrainian cultural heritage», which includes
two wooden churches of the UNESCO
heritage list (in Potelychi and Zhovkva).
The tour program encompasses visit to historical-
cultural, sacral, and natural objects
of Zhovkva Raion. Tourists will be able to
visit the Renaissance town of Zhovkva and
the royal palace, to get acquainted with the
life of monks at Krechiv Monastery, and to
have a walk through the forest to the caves
and sources. We have also produced a program
of the tour and its budget (for a group
and for one person), and substantiated the
appropriateness of the introduction of a new
touristic product at the market of services of
tourist enterprises.
