Abstract

The article analyzes
the impact of event tourist resources, namely
festivals, artistic holidays, religious rituals
and others for development of rural and
green tourism in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Ivano-Frankivsk region is one of those
regions of Ukraine which has identifi ed
tourism development as a priority. Moreover,
tourism in this time and age is seen by
the authorities at the local level as a branch
of management, but not the sphere of activity.
The latter, as a rule, should be understood
mainly as a number of measures, perhaps
of a systemic nature, which are executed,
however, in a self-employed manner, at the
expense of the initiative of the performers
themselves.
An important component of development
of tourism in the province is conservation
and use with cognitive, emotional and
sensory purpose of objects of cultural and
historical heritage, which forms the basis
for so-called cultural or cultural-educational
tourism.
Of particular importance in today’s conditions
is the study of the state of development
of recreational and tourist resources
determining the ways of their optimal use in
those regions of the territory where various
types of tourism are actively developing and
where this industry is identifi ed as one of
the main branches of industry. Particularly
promising for today is the development of
eventful tourism throughout Ukraine.
It is interesting that the majority of these
measures are usually ethnographic and carried
out on the territory of a village or a
united territorial community belonging to
a particular ethnographic area, which is important
for socio-economic development of
the local area and the locals in general
